Technical Features

Martensitic Stainless Steel

The blades of Opinel knives are made from martensitic stainless steel, optimized to ensure high corrosion resistance and superior mechanical performance. With a hardness of 55-57 HRC, the steel offers excellent sharpness and abrasion resistance, ideal for daily use without the need for frequent sharpening. However, in aggressive environments such as acidic or saline conditions, caution is advised.

Beech Handle

The handles of the knives are made from beech, a hard and durable wood sourced from French plantations. Beech is easy to work with and has a uniform appearance that ranges from yellow to pink, with characteristic dark streaks. The handle is varnished to effectively protect against dirt and moisture.
