At the heart of its innovative design is the Spherical Technology™, developed in collaboration with Mips, a leader in brain protection systems. This technology reduces rotational forces during a fall, thanks to the 'ball • and • socket' design.
The Spherical Technology™ allows the outer shell of the helmet to rotate around the inner shell during an incident, absorbing impact forces through Progressive Layering. The outer shell, which is denser and stiffer, acts as a shield, while the inner shell, which is less dense, protects the cyclist's head like a cushion.
In addition to advanced protection, the Helios helmet offers:
