The Opinel N° 06 knife is the smallest in the range equipped with the double Virobloc safety system. This makes it ideal for sports and outdoor activities, as well as for everyday manual tasks such as small DIY projects and sewing. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for smaller hands.

Technical Features

• Blade Length: 7 cm
• Martensitic Stainless Steel: Hardness 55-57 HRC, European origin. The stainless steel used in Opinel blades is optimized to ensure high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical performance. The blade offers an excellent cutting edge and high abrasion resistance, requiring less maintenance compared to carbon steel.
• Yatagan Blade: The traditional Opinel blade, inspired by a Turkish sword, with a unique curved profile that ensures robustness and ease of re-sharpening.
• Handle: Made of beech wood, the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles, sourced from French plantations. It is hard, durable, and easy to work with, with a color that ranges from yellow to pink. The handle is varnished for protection against dirt and moisture.
• Handle Length: 9.29 cm
• Virobloc Safety Ring: Invented in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is present on all folding knives starting from N°06. It allows you to lock the blade in both open and closed positions, ensuring safety during use and transport.
