Rim strips are an essential component for your bicycle, even though they are often overlooked. When you can't even see a part, you might forget about it, but that doesn't mean it's not important. Flat tires are probably the most common failure of a bicycle. Many times, punctures are caused by the rims, particularly due to the lack of protection from the sharp edges of the rims.
The Good Rim Strips did not exist for BMX rims. The complete Odyssey wheels and rims came with some of the best and widest Rim Strips available, so we eventually decided to make them available to everyone. They work well and enhance the function of any 20-inch rim. If you forget about them, it means they are doing their job.
